Low-Float Momentum Scanner
(Sub-30M Floats)

Most low-float setups go nowhere.

This filters the few with real structure, demand, and momentum.

This is built around a simple idea:

Find alignment first. Ignore everything else.

The 3-Gate Momentum System filters first.

You do not need this scanner to find momentum.

Free tools can still show trend, volume, and price action.

This exists for traders who want:

  • faster filtering
  • float turnover visibility
  • real-time stats
  • less time sorting junk
  • a repeatable review workflow

It filters first. Then checks risk. Then you decide.

The idea is simple:
A stock can only do 3 things.

Go up.

Go down.

Go sideways.

If the goal is momentum, the questions are simple:

Is it already trading up?

Is there real demand behind the move?

Is momentum actually there right now?

  • If structure is not there, ignore it.
  • If demand is weak, ignore it.
  • If momentum is not confirming, ignore it.

If bigger moves tend to start with structure, demand, and momentum, the scan should look for that first.

Step 1 of 2
3-Gate Momentum Filter

Structure, participation, and ignition must align. If one breaks, the setup is removed.

01 Structure
Is it trading up?
5m / 15m / 60m above 200 SMA.
If structure breaks, qualification is removed.
02 Participation
Is there real demand behind the move?
30% float turnover + 5m volume spike.
Filters weak, low-commitment moves.
03 Ignition
Is momentum actually there right now?
5m RSI ≥ 50 and 15m RSI ≥ 70.
Momentum must be present, not assumed.

Why this matters

The goal is not to catch every stock that moves. It is to narrow the field to something small enough to actually think through.

  • Cut the list down fast.
  • Focus on setups with cleaner alignment.
  • Spend less time sorting.
  • Spend more time verifying.

The 3-Gate Momentum System is built to surface the few names worth reviewing.

What this replaces

  • random low-float scanning
  • bouncing between tabs
  • guessing on risk
  • reviewing junk that never qualified
  • confusing chart quality with stock quality

The system filters first. Then you review. Then you decide.

How it looks in practice

Most tools show winners. This shows everything.

Same setup. Different outcomes.

The framework finds the look. It does not guarantee the result.

Historical recap snapshot
Historical recap snapshot shown for educational review only. Outcomes varied widely, and many qualified setups did not follow through.

This is NOT a

• Chat room
• Signal service
• Highlight reel of only big winners

The point is to show both stronger follow-through and weaker follow-through. Because both matter.

The workflow is simple
Scan
Verify
Check risks
Decide

The scan narrows the field. It does not replace judgment.

Most traders stop at the chart. That is where they get blindsided.

Step 2 of 2
Fast DD

Good-looking momentum can still hide bad stock risk.

The chart can qualify and still fail underneath.

  • Dilution
  • Offerings
  • Cash problems
  • Compliance issues
  • News risk
  • Halt risk

That is what turns good-looking momentum into garbage fast.

The scanner qualifies the setup. The Rapid DD tool helps expose what can break it.

Less guessing. Faster decisions.

Why paid scanners still matter

Free tools can still find momentum.

What real-time scanners improve:

  • float turnover visibility
  • faster filtering
  • real-time stat updates
  • cleaner workflow
  • less manual sorting

This is about efficiency, not dependency.

Before you start

Do I need a Trade Ideas subscription?

Yes — if you want to use the scanner inside Trade Ideas.

The tools, framework, examples, and recap materials can be accessed without one. The scanner itself is used within the Trade Ideas platform.

Is this a chat alert service?

No.

The scanner runs inside your Trade Ideas platform and displays names currently meeting the framework conditions.

Do setups get removed?

Yes.

If a setup fails any one of the 3 gates, it is removed from the scan view. That’s the protection.

Why show both stronger examples and weaker ones?

Because the point is not to pretend every qualified chart becomes a home run. The point is to show the pattern honestly and help you focus on setups that deserve deeper review.

Transparent by design.

Built for traders who want cleaner filtering, not more dependency.
