Low-Float Momentum Scanner
(Sub-30M Floats)

Most low-float setups go nowhere.

This filters the few with real structure, demand, and momentum.

Most fail because structure breaks — or hidden risk.

The idea is simple:
A stock can only do 3 things.

Go up.

Go down.

Go sideways.

So if the goal is momentum, the first question should be obvious:

Is it already trading up?

Next: Is there demand behind the move?

Then: Is momentum actually there right now?

That is the framework.

  • If structure is not there, ignore it.
  • If demand is weak, ignore it.
  • If momentum is not confirming, ignore it.

Most names fail one of those three.

That is why most should never make the watchlist.

If bigger moves tend to start with structure, demand, and momentum, why wouldn’t your scan be built to look for that first?

Step 1 of 2 → Gate Check

Structure, participation, and ignition must align.

Only setups that pass all 3 gates stay on the screen. If one breaks, it’s removed.

No exceptions. No overrides.

01 Structure
Is it trading up?
5m / 15m / 60m above 200 SMA.
If structure breaks, qualification is removed.
02 Participation
Is there real demand behind the move?
30% float turnover + 5m volume spike.
Filters weak, low-commitment moves.
03 Ignition
Is momentum actually there right now?
5m RSI ≥ 50 and 15m RSI ≥ 70.
Momentum must be present, not assumed.

If a setup fails any one of the 3 gates, it disappears from the scan view.

That is the filter.

Why this matters

The goal is not to catch every stock that moves.

The goal is to narrow the field to something small enough to actually think through.

  • Cut low-float noise down to a smaller list.
  • Surface names where the alignment looks cleaner.
  • Spend more time reviewing setups that at least have the right pieces in place.

Not magic. Not certainty. Just a better filter.

How it looks in practice

Most tools show winners. This shows everything.

Same setup. Different outcomes. That is the point.

The framework finds the look. It does not guarantee the result.

Historical recap snapshot
Historical recap snapshot shown for educational review only. Outcomes varied widely, and many qualified setups did not follow through.

This is NOT a

• Chat room
• Signal service
• Highlight reel of only big winners

It is a filtering framework built to reduce noise before noise becomes the trade.

The examples include stronger follow-through and weaker follow-through because seeing both matters.

The workflow is simple
Scan
Verify
Check risks
Decide

The scan helps narrow the field. But a clean chart is not the same thing as a clean stock.

That is where most traders get blindsided. A setup can qualify technically and still break underneath.

Most traders stop at the chart.

That is where they get blindsided.

That is why Step 2 matters.

Step 2 of 2 → Fast DD
This is where a lot of traders get blindsided.

A clean chart does not mean a clean stock.

The chart can look fine. The move can look clean. Then the underbelly ruins it.

  • Dilution
  • Offerings
  • Cash problems
  • Compliance issues
  • News risk
  • Halt risk

That is the stuff that turns “good-looking” momentum runs into garbage fast.

The scanner helps surface what meets the framework. The Rapid DD sheet helps show what can break it.

Less guessing. Less bouncing around. Faster decisions.

No hunting around. No ten-tab mess. Just get to the risk quicker.

Because even if a stock has the look, you still need to know what can break it underneath.

Not a vague idea. Not a teaser. Not a sample.

Before you start

Do I need a Trade Ideas subscription?

Yes — if you want to use the scanner inside Trade Ideas.

The tools, framework, examples, and recap materials can be accessed without one. The scanner itself is used within the Trade Ideas platform.

Is this a chat alert service?

No.

The scanner runs inside your Trade Ideas platform and displays names currently meeting the framework conditions.

Do setups get removed?

Yes.

If a setup fails any one of the 3 gates, it is removed from the scan view. That’s the protection.

Why show both stronger examples and weaker ones?

Because the point is not to pretend every qualified chart becomes a home run. The point is to make the pattern visible, reduce noise, and help you focus on setups that at least deserve deeper review.

Transparent by design.

Built for traders who want cleaner filtering, not more noise.
